Lantern

The Lantern is a light-emitting block that provides high-intensity illumination and is commonly used for decoration and mob-proofing. It emits a light level of 15, making it one of the brightest and most efficient light sources in the game. A Lantern is crafted using 1 Torch and 8 Iron Nuggets in a 3×3 crafting grid. It also generates naturally in bastion remnants, ancient cities, and snowy tundra villages.

A Lantern can be placed on top of solid blocks or hung beneath blocks when attached to their underside. This makes it a versatile light source for interior and exterior builds, such as pathways, villages, and medieval-themed structures. A Lantern can be mined instantly by hand or with any tool. Unlike a Torch, a Lantern provides a brighter and more polished lighting option, making it a preferred choice for decorative builds and effective illumination.
